This is pinball, but the targets are an orc army and the flippers are the gates of your castle. Hundreds of them are marching at you. You have one ball. Go.
On your first run you’ve got a wooden fence and a handful of soldiers. Keep at it and you’ll have obsidian walls, seven archers firing over your head, 48 soldiers at the gate and eight balls in the rack. The horde grows with you, so it never gets easy. It just gets bigger.

BOMBS CHAIN
The orange orcs carry bombs. Hit one and everything around it goes up, including the next bomber. Line up a chain in the middle of a wave and watch the whole thing vanish.

THE FLAG BEARERS CARRY YOUR GOLD
Look for the orcs with flags. Kill one and his gold drops right where he stood. Your ball sweeps it up, and whatever is still lying there when the wave ends is yours too. Let a flag bearer through the gate and he takes it with him.

THE GATE IS YOUR HEALTH BAR
Every orc that slips past your flippers takes one of your soldiers down with him. Lose the last one and your castle falls. Keep the ball alive and nothing gets through.
Your castle is going to fall. Every run ends that way. But every coin you grabbed stays in your purse, and back at the menu you spend it on the castle itself: walls, doors, archers, soldiers, balls. Wood becomes oak becomes stone becomes obsidian. It’s all permanent. The wave that killed you today is the one you’ll walk straight through tomorrow.

Wipe out a whole wave and you get to pick one of two perks for the rest of your run. An extra soldier. A ball that explosions can’t push around. Stack the right ones and you’ll go deep. Pick wrong and wave six is where your run ends.
